The journey towards sustainability requires that organizations find innovative ways to be profitable that also include the environmental dimensions. At Mirec, we work with life cycle management of IT products in order to minimize the environmental burdens that arise at the end of the life cycle and this is done through recycling or recycling.
It is mainly IT equipment that has a recyclable value such as desktops and laptops, mobile phones, tablets, server, storage solutions, networks and printers.
On recycled shipments, we take in all electronics to our dedicated recycling department and register all products as well as check functions and wear on the products. The products that are functional and whole with a recyclable value go through the entire process and are ready for sale via our international sales channels.
The products that are too worn or old are recycled in a safe & environmentally friendly way. Win-win. All data-bearing products are deleted or destroyed. In Recycling Shipments, the material is decontaminated from hazardous waste and then separated mechanically into raw material groups such as iron, plastic, aluminum and metal concentrates with precious metals.
