Monterrey Iron & Metal Recycling

Monterrey Iron & Metal (MIM) is a metal and scrap recycling center located on Frio City Road, near Kelly USA Port San Antonio, in San Antonio’s south side of town. We bought our first truck in 1928 – and have come a long way since then! Our yard today encompasses over 30 acres of efficiently organized scrap, equipment, and crew. In 2016, we celebrated 100 years of recycling in San Antonio.

We are South Texas’ original recycler. Celebrating our centennial in 2016, MIM has managed to successfully navigate the ever-changing scrap markets while improving upon safety and efficiency. With a full crew of mechanics, welders, machine operators, truck drivers, and managerial staff, Monterrey can handle more material with less downtime.
