MARS was founded in 2006 on the premise of managing environmentally sensitive materials in a way that promoted stewardship of the environment on all levels; locally, nationally, and globally, while still providing the best possible fiscal results for our clients.We treat all of the material we manage as commodities with a measurable worth, not as waste. As we are able to divert this material from landfills and into re-use or recycling, we are able to see firsthand that the changes we make, along with our clients, directly affect and benefit the environment. At MARS sustainability is not just a goal, it is the foundation our company was built on.

What is E-Waste

As an Asset Recovery company, specializing in managing complex assets and material, sustainability is at the core of the services we offer. Whether our clients goal is to protect themselves, realize the highest return for their assets, or protect the environment, our focus is to provide the service they need, without losing sight of the importance of being stewards of the environment. To this end we have a zero landfill policy for our clients material, and strive to get as close as possible with our own waste as well.Besides recycling, being more efficient with the resources used at our facilities is another important aspect of our corporate sustainability. Our goals in these areas mirror the aspects from our Environmental Manual and are therefore monitored closely. Services

Managed Asset Recovery Services (MARS) is positioned to accommodate the pickup of material anywhere in the United States. We currently have three strategically placed locations: Hudson, Florida; Huntsville, Alabama; and Olympia, Washington. MARS insures that the customer material pick up, is timely and meets all the other specified customer requirements. MARS has also partnered with different freight companies around the United States to handle the material with care throughout the United States. Due to our experience with some fortune 500 accounts, we are familiar with the cost of freighting material from almost any location within the United States.

We have demonstrated our ability to maximize profit while not jeopardizing the integrity of our customer’s material. Consequently we are very responsive and tailor our recovery services to meet the asset recovery services of large, medium and small companies in the United States.For locations outside the United States, we would be more than willing to open a location as long as it is cost effective for everyone involved. If it is not cost effective, we are willing to freight a container from locations outside the United States.We have positioned ourselves as a leader in this very competitive industry. Our pricing structure includes the freighting of customer material. We can provide gaylords, drums, and pallets to our customers. We work with these companies on a daily basis to ensure the safe delivery of your material. MARS does not have any other charges.

As a partner we would be able to pick-up the material anytime the customers relates to MARS that they need a pick-up no matter where they are located. These services would free up some much needed storage space as well as allowing more time for the employees to collect & process the material.Once the equipment is received, our staff will remove any asset tags & wipe the hard drives to whichever level of data destruction your company needs. This data destruction policy can be for all material or specific to those who fall under certain guidelines, such as HIPPA

E-waste Recycling

With the opening of our third location in Olympia Washington in 2010, we realized a dramatic increase in growth from 2009. This was not only the result of serving a new market area, but increases were seen at all facilities.We therefore set the goal for 2011 to recycle over six million pounds of e-waste company wide. We were able to achieve this despite increased competition and the continuing budget constraints of our clients.Looking forward the 2012 goal was established at eight million pounds, which is in line with our sustainability and business development goals.

Household Waste Recycling

While e-waste is our core focus, it is equally important that we recycle any other material we handle in our facilities, both received from clients, and generated by our own operations.Our goal for 2011 was to recycle over four hundred thousand pounds of household waste which includes cardboard, aluminum, and plastic. While we did not meet the targeted goal, much of the deficit can be attributed to reusing shrink wrap as packaging, along with other materials, instead of sending them to be recycled.
