In 2015, we collected and recycled over 130 tons (286,000 lbs). About 100 tons of that came from our Free E-waste collection days(link to our schedule).

Landfills are growing at an alarming rate and account for more than 25% of the methane emissions in Canada. While the environment has become a more urgent concern in the last 20 years, landfills continue to grow at an unsustainable rate, with most recyclable household and industrial items still finding their way there. We work with a variety of local partners and organizations in carefully assessing all of the items we take away from a site visit, and divert more than 80% of our pickups from landfills, whether we’re working with you as a residential customer or as a commercial client.

We don’t take hazardous products. Things like paint, solvents, oils, chemicals, etc. We also don’t take smoke detectors, CF light bulbs, fluorescent light bulbs, old style mercury furnace thermostats, asbestos material, etc.
