Josh Steel Company, named for its founder, Isadore Joshowitz, opened as a scrap metal recycling business in 1948. Josh Steel purchases, processes, and brokers ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal generated from residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Individuals driving-in their scrap metal are welcome. Located along both the CSX railroad and the Monongahela River in Braddock, PA , we are just eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh.Josh Steel Company utilizes river, railroad, and truck transportation to accept and ship material. We service commercial operations and demolition jobs. We own trucks, trailers, and containers; and, provide roll-off containers, flatbeds, low-boys, and dump trailers based on customer or job needs and design. Josh Steel dedicates itself to customer service. We maintain an experienced staff and are fully insured. Safety and environment are the cornerstone of our operations. Our roots are planted in the principles of commitment to our employees, customers, and suppliers.
