About Us

Jamison Recycling Inc. is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Gene and Gina Jamison, who started their recycling business over 20 years ago from their home on the Round Valley Indian Reservation in Mendocino County, near Covelo, California.  Since then the Jamisons’ business has expanded to three state-certified CRV buy-back recycling centers in Mendocino County.  They also established three non-ferrous scrap metal buy-back sites at the same locations.  In addition, they organized and performed numerous environmental cleanups of illegal dump sites throughout rural Mendocino and Sonoma counties.  These illegal dump sites consisted of household trash, household hazardous waste, abandoned vehicles, campers, and house trailers, loose tires, and junk appliances.  They also cleaned up a commercial site that was going out of business and needed large-scale removal of industrial steel, rubber, and machinery.

For more than 20 years, Gina and Gene Jamison and everyone involved with Jamison Recycling Inc. have worked hard to make a difference in the quality of life for everyone who enjoys the unique beauty of Northern California. Not only is Mendocino County the Jamisons’ present home, but it is their ancestral home as Native Americans. Both Gina and Gene are enrolled Native American citizens, with Gene’s tribal ancestry running through the Round Valley Indian Tribes of Covelo, California.

As caretakers of the natural environment, the Jamisons and their workforce understand that it is both a privilege and an obligation to protect and preserve our land, water and air, and to create a sustainable environment, for all. As successful small businesspersons, Gina and Gene are proud to earn a good living and to support the livelihoods of their employees and customers, in the process.

Jamison Recyling, Inc., is a family-owned recycling and environmental cleanup company who has been in continuous business throughout Northern California for over 20 years. They specialize in environmental cleanups, demolition and restoration, scrap metal recycling, and buy-back of CRV recyclables. Jamison Recyling is a customer-oriented business and strive to make recycling as convenient and efficient as possible for individuals and commercial and governmental customers alike.

Each of Jamison Recyling’s three recycling centers are certified by the State of California. They are 8(a) certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration, as a woman-owned and Native American-owned enterprise. Company owners Gene and Gina Jamison are each enrolled Native American citizens, and are proud to have been recognized as Citizens of the Year by the Round Valley Lioness in 2005.

Jamison Recyling is also honored to have received the Coast “Eward” for contributions to the community’s environment with “Ecological Efforts, Energy Efficiency, Economic Effectiveness, and good old fashioned Elbow grease,” in 2010.
