You'll find more than 1,700 parts-packed cars, trucks and vans, foreign and domestic to pull parts from, with FRESH parts vehicles added DAILY!!!Horseheads Pick-A-Part is a self-service automotive recycling center where you save money on the parts and accessories you need by bringing your tool box and pulling the part you want yourself. Many of our customers save thousands of dollars a year by pulling parts from our yard.

History

Welcome to Horseheads Pick A Part! Horseheads Pick A Part opened its doors on September 17th, 1990. The company is family owned by the managers at Don's Automotive Mall in Binghamton, New York. We purchase all kinds of vehicles from individuals, dealers, towing companies, and auto auctions. They are then proccesed and set in the yard on stands in a safe manner for the customer to pull parts from. Each vehicle is given an identification number to keep track of it. This enables us to tell you if we have the vehicle and its location. However we do not keep inventory of parts. In addition we also stock new radiators, gas tanks, and gas tank sending units. Also we can special order new air conditioning condensors, oil pans, fuel tank sending units with pump, and exhaust manifolds.

Recycle

Horseheads Pick A Part aids in the effort to minimize pollution to our area. We drain all fluids including oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, washer solvent, power steering fluid, and fuel. Making sure that they are in a safe containment until they are picked up by a registered waste hauler for recycling. Also all batteries, and catalytic convertors are removed for recycling. We are also participating in a nation wide effort to keep mercury out of our water stream by removing mercury switches and recycling them. We are always striving to find new and better ways to help protect the environment we all live in.

Community Involvement

Horseheads Pick A Part is a strong supporter of our police and fire fighters, along with the battle against drunk driving and drugs. We are a member of the Chamber of Commerce. We also lend support to our local sports teams, racers, car clubs, and multiple charities.
