Hillman Metals represents the third generation of the Hillman family involvement in the metal recycling industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are deeply committed to recycling our natural resources. Our President, Dan Hillman, has a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and did graduate work in environmental communications at the University of Michigan. Mr. Hillman participated in the first Earth Day in April of 1970 - for him being "green" is a way of life. Mr. Hillman is also a past chapter president of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.

We buy turnings, plate, sheet, tubing, shapes and angles. We are the largest buyers of exotic metals in Northern California. Hillman Metals specializes in purchasing any quantity of tantalum, hafnium, niobium, ruthenium and rhenium in any form from waste streams to sputtering target scrap. Our brokerage business purchases large quantities of precious metal bearing wastes such as sludge and bead blast material. We also purchase nickel and cobalt based alloys and molybdenum.
