Alberta (and Edmonton) is one of the worlds best economies and one of the first to develop an electronics recycling program.  This comes with a growing demand for technologies to keep up with the growing economy. This also means that there is a growing need for disposal of old electronics. Hi Tech Recyclers wants to do its part.  Our mission is to create an accessible consumer friendly alternative to throwing away Alberta’s used electronics.  Hi Tech Recyclers offers an array of services to make Electronics Recycling simple. We will evaluate your needs and outline the most economical solution for you.Hi Tech Recyclers accepts all electronic recycling. Information on specific electronics accepted can be found on our What We Recycle page.  Once the electronic recycling is recieved it is separated into various products to be processed and reused downstream.  This includes plastic, metal, toner cartridges and various other materials associated with electronics.  We also make sure to specfically destroy any form of data that may enter our facility so your information is kept safe. 

We are Alberta’s newest electronic recyclers.  We are an Alberta based company, locally owned and operated out of Edmonton, Alberta. We aim to have the best constomer service in the electronics recycling industry.Our facility is secured for your data protection.  Everything we recieve is inventoried immediately.  Each component is then dismantled, shredded, and shipped to an approved downstream processor.  The components are then manufactured into new products to guarantee no electronic recycling ends up in landfills across Canada. Also, since many electronics have hazardous materials we strive to keep electronics from polluting our landfills for future generations

What We Recycle?

Hi Tech Recyclers is continually striving to keep up with the demand of electronics in need of recycling each year. Currently Alberta has an environmental surcharge that is added to electronics purchased in order to help with the cost of recycling them when they become old and unusable. The Alberta Recycling Program covers many electronics and is working on adding more eligible electronics in the future. Below are the currently Approved Recyclables collected. Hi Tech Recyclers is also committed to recycling as many electronics as possible so we also collect OTHER ineligible products in order to keep any hazardous electronics out of landfills. Data Destruction

Even if you erase files from your computer before recycling they can still be recovered. Information gets deleted from your view on the computer but that information is still stored on your hard drive. Even with programs designed to fully eliminate data from your hard drive there are experts who can use mathematical formulas to retrieve that data. Your personal information can be used in many different ways in today’s technological world most of which can be devastating to you. We provide the best processes designed to make sure that your information cannot fall into the wrong hands.Recycled hard drives are destroyed physically by our hard drive shredding machine. The shredding machine reduces hard drives into centimeter sized pieces rendering the hard drive unusable and fully ready to be recycled!Hi Tech Recyclers offers Certificates of Destruction upon request.  Certificates will be sent out once your data has been destoyed.
