Electronics Recycling Service, Inc. (DBA Green E-Waste Recycling Center) is a California State Approved (CEW ID: 109503), EPA compliant and DTSC (Department of Toxic and Substances Control) registered full service electronic waste recycling company. Established in 2005 by industry veterans, Green E-Waste Recycling Center provides cost effective recycling solutions for all end-of-life electronics and computer equipment. Our goal is to provide our customers with convenient and streamlined pickup & drop off services that are free, fast and simple. Since its start, every year we have divert 10 million pounds of e-waste and metal scrap from landfills. We reduce and reuse before recycle. Our primary goal is to refurbish, repair and reuse as much as possible for the electronics and computers we collect. We believe in the strength of community and work closely with schools and other non-profit organizations to help raise funds through e-waste collection events. We share 50% of the revenue generated from all e-waste collected. Obsolete and broken equipment are broken down and sold to various local recycling companies. For example, our metals and wires are sold to SIMS Metals and Alco Iron & Metal. Our PCBs or circuit boards are refined for precious metals at Glencore & ECS Refining. The CRT materials such as monitors and televisions that we collect are transferred to California State Certified Recyclers that disassemble and process the lead and mercury from the glass. Printers and breakages are shredded for recovering plastic and metal after the toners are removed. Just about all the raw materials are sold to large manufacturers.

We are located at 2127 Monterey Hwy, San Jose, CA 95112, north of the intersection of Monterey Hwy and Curtner Ave, and located behind Club Chicago.

Free drive-through service is available for customers. Come in and out in less than 2 minutes, our friendly staff will unload the e-waste from your vehicle without a hassle.Green E-Waste Recycling Center is a CA State approved E-Waste Processor (CEW ID#109503). Our methods are in strict compliance with Cal Recycle, EPA, and DTSC guidelines pursuant to x66273.83.

COMMERCIAL E-WASTE PICKUP SERVICES

If you are a business, school, non-profit, or government agency located in the Bay Area, and recycle 5 or more computers/servers/laptops with us, we will pick up and dispose your electronic items at no cost. Please inform us if you have large/heavy items (100 lbs+) that requires 2 or 3 of our staff to move.
Talk with your neighbors to pool together at least 5 computers/servers/laptops to qualify for free pickups. We do block-wide electronics recycling pick-up, as well as all neighboring buildings to collect from their offices.Free Pickup Service is available to Business Customers Only. Residential customers are encouraged to use our Free Drive-through drop off services at our warehouse during normal business hours.

We charge a nominal fee for responsible disposal of the following items:

• Wooden Speakers, Woofers ($10 each)
• Alkaline Batteries ($2 per lb)
• Fluorescent Light Tubes, CFL Bulbs ($5 each)
• Small Household Appliances like hair dryers, toasters, blenders, heaters, coffee makers, juice makers, rice cookers, etc.($0.50/lb).
• Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Fax Machines, Tonners, Cartridges, First 50 lbs free of charge per vehicle, then $0.20/lb.
