There is no shying away from the fact that the way we consume electronics in the United States has a profound effect on endangered species, women, children and the environment.
ECO-CELL believes that people will make better choices regarding the electronics they consume given the right information. That is why we built a program that takes the issues surrounding electronics head on and offers you a way to contribute to the solution by recycling them.

The Scope of the Problem
There are over 260 million cell phone users (85% of the population) in the U.S. alone with nearly 1 BILLION handheld gadgets tucked away in people's drawers gathering dust. It has been estimated that only 10% of these unwanted devices are recycled each year. Due to their small size and rapid replacement cycle, cell phones are much more likely to end up in the waste stream where they can release their toxic materials including arsenic, acid and lead.

The highest form of recycling is reuse.That is why we resell devices with legitimate reuse value collected through the program. It takes a TON of energy and resources to create an electronic device and it is best for the environment if we use it until it is obsolete.We live in an unprecedented era of data theft. The very best practice for data integrity is to take responsibility yourself by"wiping" any device you wish to recycle prior to shipping.
