About Yard

It is the mission of Dymin to provide outstanding IT service and technology advice. We practice good business via good processes and by implementing industry best practices. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff enthusiastically serves consumers and businesses alike by providing the highest level of technology services and solutions at a value focused price.

We take data security very seriously. Any computer that comes through Dymin Systems first undergoes a data sanitation process. Each data storage device (hard drive, memory card, etc.) is connected to our LogiCube OmniClone 5Xi, which doesn’t just “delete” the data but completely overwrites it with a random pattern of 1’s and 0’s that renders your old data completely irretrievable. This is the same process recommended under the Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines (5220.22-M).

Why choose to recycle with us?

We can understand the concern for who you choose to recycle your computers and IT assets with. Each of the three green arrows in the universal “recycling” symbol represents one action that contributes to long-term environmental sustainability. Dymin works to incorporate each aspect this philosophy into our day-to-day business in multiple ways.

Reduce
The best way to manage waste is not to produce it in the first place! From our completely paperless ticketing and invoicing system to our break room with reusable dishes and utensils (provided so our employees can avoid using disposable goods), you can trust that Dymin Systems is a company that makes choices to reduce our environmental impact by reducing consumption.

Reuse
We ensure all electronics equipment that comes into our facility is first evaluated for reuse. Anything that is still functional and useful is refurbished and resold or donated to non-profit organizations. Many non-functional devices can be repaired by our staff and reused, and many non-repairables can be broken down into usable parts.

Recycle
Only when an item has been determined to be unrepairable or too-outdated do we responsibly recycle and dispose of it. Our recycling partners ensure that each piece of equipment is completely broken down into reclaimable raw materials like steel, copper, aluminum, and gold. Hazardous materials such as lead, mercury and cadmium are properly disposed of rather than dumped into landfills.

What about my data?

We take data security very seriously. Any computer that comes through Dymin Systems first undergoes a data sanitation process. Each data storage device (hard drive, memory card, etc.) is connected to our LogiCube OmniClone 5Xi, which doesn’t just “delete” the data but completely overwrites it with a random pattern of 1’s and 0’s that renders your old data completely irretrievable. This is the same process recommended under the Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines (5220.22-M).

Our Recycling Process

  • Computers are first evaluated to determine whether or not they are still viable for resale.
  • Broken computers can be repaired, and all computers with current market value are fully refurbished and resold with a 90-day warranty to those looking for cost-effective alternatives to new computers.
  • We also will donate computer systems to charities, non-profit organizations, or others in need.
  • Any computer that is not viable to repair or resell will be dismantled into components; any parts with resale value will be sold in our retail store “bargain bin” or online.
  • Any computer that is determined to have no resale value as a whole or in parts is responsibly disposed of by our partners, who reclaim re-usable raw materials and safely dispose of hazardous components.

Data Recovery

Data recovery generally falls into one of two categories. Once our technicians take a look at your drive, we’ll be able to determine the type of failure and let you know how we can proceed. Many logical failures can be recovered right here in our store. Data recovery is a very intricate process and some individual recovery cases may require advanced recovery methods In these cases, your drive may need to be shipped to our specialists in a clean-room environment so the drive can be disassembled and have the data extracted.

Logical Failure
Your hard drive is physically working, it is detected by the computer’s BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), and all the internal mechanics are working, but the data structure on the drive has become damaged or corrupted for any of a variety of reasons.

Physical Failure
Your hard drive has a physical problem with either the internal mechanics or the electronic circuit board that controls the drive’s operations. Physical failures generally require shipping the drive to our clean-room lab for data extraction.
