 Three simple steps to starting a Recycling program.

• Check your dumpster. You have to know what you are throwing away before you can consider your recycling opportunities.

• Take samples. Select representative samples of all the major items you dispose of on a regular basis. Try and get some sense of the monthly generation for each item. If it is just a few hundred pounds, it is probably not worth considering, unless it is an expensive material.
