CMC was built on recycled metal. Our history dates back to a single location in Dallas, Texas, established in 1915. Over a century, CMC has grown to become one of the world’s largest metal recyclers, with facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. We have the capacity to process and ship more than four million tons of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals annually.We operate more than 60 locations globally - buying, processing, selling and managing recycled metals in collaboration with partners large and small. Recycling customers include: steel mills; aluminum refineries and mills; copper and brass mills; special steel producers; high temperature alloy manufacturers and foundries; and recycling customers throughout our local communities.
To fully serve our customers, CMC operates a global supply channel for metal producers and consumers with more than 40 strategic locations worldwide and over two million tons of processing and distribution capacity annually. We market and distribute steel, ores, concentrates, industrial minerals, ferroalloys, chemicals and industrial products. Our distribution model allows us to efficiently connect global steel producers with steel-consuming markets.
With trading offices and warehouses in key locations worldwide, CMC brings expertise and global market access to buyers and sellers of steel and other metals and raw materials. Our established networks allow us to serve a large and diverse customer base, with products sourced from around the globe.
