City Scrap & Salvage began operation in 1947 as a small, family-owned scrap yard. On Jan. 1, 2011, the business was purchased by TSB Metal Recycling, a wholly owned subsidiary of TimkenSteel Corporation. City Scrap now has an updated facility with the same core values and many of the same employees who have guided our success for decades.

City Scrap is home to the area’s only automotive shredder. This shredding machine has two, 1,500-horsepower Waukesha natural gas engines known as Thunder Pumpkins. From automobiles and auto parts, to aluminum siding, to stainless steel and appliances, as well as our industrial container service, we buy and recycle it all!
