By-Pass Auto – Truck – Equipment Recyclers is the largest government regulated, environmentally conscious vehicle and scrap metal recycling facility on the Sunshine Coast. We are a gold member of the AREA (Automotive Recyclers' Environmental Association) and we are the drop-off depot on the Sunshine Coast for the BC Scrap-It and Kidney Car Program.

Since our inception in January of 1994 we have grown from a small used auto parts retailer to our current position as a major recycling depot that facilitates the transport and environmentally conscious handling and disposal of ELVs (end of life vehicles) and all types of scrap and non-ferrous metals.

We offer free drop-off of loose scrap metal and we purchase non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, etc. We tow and dispose of derelict and end of life vehicles free of charge and we purchase vehicles, trucks, machinery and equipment for parts and scrap recycling.

By-Pass Auto is a family run business that cares about the environment in which we all live. We adhere to strict government regulations that safeguard the recycling and removal of hazardous substances from the many tonnes of salvage we process daily. We serve customers from Port Mellon to Powell River locally and worldwide, on occasion.
