Welcome to Three Rivers Iron and Metal:We believe in being the leader in honest customer service in the scrap metal recycling industry. At Three Rivers Iron and Metal we intend for you to leave our facility with total satisfaction that you have been treated fairly after each visit. We also continue to improve our facility in order for you to have a safe and quick turnaround when you bring your materials to be recycled. Three Rivers Iron and Metal is a subsidiary of Clean Metal, LLC, which is a West Virginia company. Three Rivers opened its doors in the summer of 2002. The location, 500 Virginia Ave. had been previously been operated by another company, which closed the doors of their facility in August 2000.We began operations on Virginia Ave. with one employee. We moved processing equipment onto the site and started to advertise, in order to increase our volume. We now have 15 employees at this location.
In August of 2006, the owner of Clean Metal, LLC purchased the assets of another company, known as Elkins Iron and Metal. Elkins Iron and Metal no longer exists. We created a new company, which we named Elkins Metal Recycling. It is located on 15th Street, in Elkins, WV.Since opening of the Elkins facility, the two locations have been able to use synergies to provide better services and pay fair prices to our customers. Our plans are to continue our growth by being the best provider of scrap services in West Virginia.

Specifications for various grades of scrap metals
Prepared #1 HMS – Any metals smaller than 2′ x 3′ in size.
NO non-ferrous attachments, such as lead, aluminum, brass or copper.
NO sealed containers, such as car shocks, torque converters, belt rollers and tanks. Any sealed container which has two holes burned into the item, at least the size of a fifty cent coin are acceptable.
NO excess grease, oil or other contaminants.
Prepared Plate & Structural (P&S) – I-beam, channel, angle, plate, pipe, minimum 1/4″ thickness, no larger than 2′ x 5′. Pipe cannot be larger than 8″ diameter.
No non-ferrous attachments.
We do not split weigh prepared grades. All material in a prepared load must be fully prepared. Unprepared loads will be paid at the rate of the lowest grade in the load.
Batteries must be whole, free from defect and must have caps in place.We do not accept tires, fluids, cylinders which contain any kind of gases, (propane, acetylene, etc.), or refrigerators / ac units containing freon.
