2 Recycling Limited was founded in 2007 by two directors, Milo Hanshaw and Stuart Elliott, who made the decision to enter what is a very crowded market place in order to showcase and become a stand out example of what is possible at the high end of metal recycling in the UK. Stuart & Milo very quickly established the company as a new generation of metal recyclers dealing only Business to Business, supplying graded metal to end users to use as secondary raw material in one of the best examples of a circular economy.

Over the last 14 years the two directors have built a strong team around them who are all dedicated to providing the best possible customer service with the ultimate traceability afforded to metal recycling in the UK. We introduced our ‘photographic weighbridge tickets’ back in 2013 and these are considered by many as the industry leading benchmark, further demonstrating our lead over most of our competitors who are unable or unwilling to ‘evidence’ the weights and clarity afforded by using our system.

In 2018 we became part of the investment group CorpAcq Ltd and joined their £500m portfolio of diverse manufacturing and service group of companies. CorpAcq have invested heavily into 2 Recycling and in 2020 we moved to our new £4m 90,000sqft building here in Grantham. The investment has allowed us to work more safely and have the ability to grow at a faster rate than we were able to in our last premises. The continued investment planned for this year and next will enable us to handle more metal and reach more customers who can benefit from our professional and transparent approach in this often less than clear industry. In 2021 we have also become a certified Carbon Neutral business helping all of our customers offset their Scrap Metal related carbon emissions, probably the first in our industry to do so.
