PERTH (Scrap Monster): The Perth Mint of Australia has added one more coin to their Mother’s Love series. This is the fourth one after the release of Lioness Silver Coins, Asian Elephant Silver Coins and Giraffe Silver Coins. The fifth one will feature Orangutans.

On the reverse side of 2014 Brown Bear Silver Coins, there is a colored image of brown bear and her cub. Behind the picture of a bear, there is a cave outline which has an inscription “BROWN BEAR”.

Near the image of the animal, there is a ‘P’ mark, representing the Perth Mine. On the Obverse face of the coin, there is Ian Rank-Bradley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscriptions QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 1/2 Oz 999 SILVER, 2014, TUVALU and 50 CENTS.

The writing TUVALU and 50 CENTS mean the coin is struck as legal tender of the island nation of Tuvalu with a face value of 50 cents. The Mother Love Series coins are made up of 1/2 ounce of .999 fine silver.

The coins have a minimum gross weight of about 15.591 grams. It has a diameter of 36.60 mm and has a thickness of 2.30 mm. The coins are traded in display case with a certificate of authenticity.

Maximum mintage for the 2014 Brown Bear Coin is limited to 6,000. Price of the coin is AUS $57.73, i.e. about US $53.51.
