WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster): The United States Mint has announced that the 2014 Great Smoky Mountains National Park 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins are temporarily sold out. The mint is on the anvil to make available of additional coins within short-time. 

It is said that the authorized purchasers started to have the 2014 Great Smoky Mountains National Park 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins from March 17, 2014. As per the Mint’s website, the mint has sold out 22,400 coins as of April 15, 2014 that is lesser than the coins featuring White Mountain National Forest and Mount Rushmore National Memorial had reached sales of 35,000, the coins featuring Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial, Great Basin National Park, and Fort McHenry National Monument had reached sales of 30,000 each. 

The America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coin series struck in 5 troy ounces of 999 silver has a diameter of 3 inches and includes inscriptions indicating the precious metal weight.
