SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Victoria Gold Corp. announced that its flagship Eagle Gold Mine in Yukon Territory has achieved record gold production during the month of August this year.
According to company press release, the mine produced a record 20,744 ounces of gold during the month. The gold production had totalled 14,717 ounces in July this year. The production represents 65% surge from the same month in 2020. The cumulative gold production during the initial eight-month period of the current year amounted to 94,605 ounces.

Also, the company has more than 1 million tonnes of ore stacked in each of July and August, thus hinting at a strong Q3 operational performance, said John McConnell, President and CEO, Victoria Gold Corp. The company weighs on second half 2021 production, for it to be able to achieve the estimated annual production guidance of 180,000 to 200,000 ounces for the current year.
Victoria Gold announced that the mine exploration works are progressing in full swing and the company looks forward to provide results in the near future. The mine had faced some operational issues last year, in addition to Covid-19-related disruptions.
