23rd February, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices extended rally on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 22^nd, Monday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained flat on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.07 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.07 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.07 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.07 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer, CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices witnessed no change from the previous day.

The prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe too were unchanged on February 23^rd, 2021.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively on Index.

The price of Romex Wire saw an increase of $0.01 per Lb during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units and Starters held steady over the day.

Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe were unchanged on Index. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on February 23^rd, 2021.

Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched down by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 23^rd February, 2021.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on February 23^rd, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb.

80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap surged higher by $0.02 per Lb each on February 23^rd, 2021.

Brass Radiator and Brass Radiator Ends scrap prices were unchanged.

Brass Radiator /Fe prices were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.
