22nd March, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Tumbled on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper and aluminum scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 22^nd, Friday. Brass/Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 900 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 900 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 450 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a dip by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. A similar decline of CNY 100 per MT was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on Fridy, March 22nd, 2024.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 350 per MT.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT each over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed dip in prices by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT on 22^nd March, 2024.

The prices of UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 22^nd March, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices witnessed a decline by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered decline by CNY 150 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices edged lower by CNY 200 per MT on March 22^nd, 2024.

Shred SS prices recorded a dip of CNY 100 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded decline on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT on March 22^nd, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices registered declines by CNY 200 per MT each on Index.
