18th May, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Recorded Mixed Trend on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on May 18^th, Wednesday. Brass, Bronze and Copper Scrap prices dipped from the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 400 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 400 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have dropped by CNY 200 per MT on Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices saw a decline by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no change on Index.

Cu Yokes scrap prices too were unchanged over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were flat on Wednesday, May 18^th, 2022.

Also, Heater Cores recorded decline by CNY 100 per MT.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed no change on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers held steady on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 50 per MT each on May 18^th, 2022.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices were flat on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 18^th May, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices were unchanged when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were flat on May 18^th, 2022.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.    

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest decline from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on May 18^th, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were down by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
