18th May, 2020- North American Scrap Metal Prices Witnessed Marginal Surge

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on May 18^th, Monday. Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Brass/Bronze, Aluminum and Copper scrap prices surged from the prior day. Steel prices witnessed no change on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb when matched with the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.05 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiators witnessed no change over the prior day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged. Cu Yokes prices too were flat from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Heater Cores, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe saw no variation on May 18^th, 2020.

Romex Wires prices were up by $0.01 per Lb when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on May 18^th, 2020.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices increased by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Chrome Wheels and Romex Wire prices were unchanged on Index.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat on Index.

The prices of #1 Busheling scrap held steady on Index.

#1 HMS and HMS 80/20 prices saw no change over the previous day on 18^th May, 2020.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also were unchanged when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on 18^th May, 2020.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region edged higher on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

Brass Radiator, Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels on Monday, May 18^th, 2020.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices surged higher by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.
