15th June, 2021: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Plunged on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Copper and Aluminum scrap prices declined significantly on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on June 15^th, Tuesday. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices witnessed decline on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady over the day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 1,400 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 1,400 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 700 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed decline by CN 300 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.

Cu/Al Radiator and Heater Cores prices recorded decline by CNY 300 per MT and CNY 500 per MT respectively on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged down by CNY 100 per MT on Tuesday, June 15^th, 2021.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT over the day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers held steady on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices witnessed decline by CNY 50 per MT each on June 15^th, 2021.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices reported no change over the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 15^th June, 2021.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices declined by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were down on June 15^th, 2021.

Shred SS prices saw no variation in prices over the day.        

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on June 15^th, 2021.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.
