West Fraser Mills signs deal with Hardwoods Distribution Inc. on supply of MDF panels

VANCOUVER (Scrap Monster): Hardwoods Distribution Inc. has signed an agreement deal with West Fraser Mills, whereby medium density fiberboard (MDF) panels from West Fraser Mills will be distributed to Hardwoods’ divisions.

Under the agreement, the MDFs from West Fraser’s West Pine and Ranger MDF mills will be distributed to all branches of Hardwoods Specialty Products and Frank Paxton Lumber across the United States and Canada. The West Fraser MDF panels are made of 100 percent western white softwoods.Hardwoods Specialty Products and Frank Paxton Lumber are divisions of Hardwoods Distribution Inc.

Hardwoods is one of North America’s largest wholesale distributors of quality hardwood lumber, plywood and overlay products, with distribution centers located across North America.

Founded in 1955, West Fraser has grown to be the largest lumber producer in North America. It operates more than 35 mills across Western Canada and the southern United States. The mills located in Western Canada manufacture all of the Company’s products except southern yellow pine (SYP) lumber. The Company’s southern United States mills produce SYP lumber and wood chips.
