India Steel prices remain steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI: Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale steel market in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a narrow range on scattered deals and settled around previous levels. 

Traders said limited deals from construction units against adequate stocks position mainly kept prices unchanged. 

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne): Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,500, 10-mm Rs 47,000, 12-mm Rs 44,600, 16-25 mm Rs 45,300. 

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm, Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500. 

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800. 

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
