Fourth Generation Recycler Re-Elected to Third Term and Leadership Positions in Minnesota Senate

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Jeremy Miller of WM.MILLER SCRAP IRON & METAL Co. (Winona, MN) was recently reelected to his third term in the Minnesota Senate. Miller was also appointed as Deputy Majority Leader and Chairman of the Senate Jobs and Economic Growth Finance and Policy Committee.

Miller, along with his brother Willie, is the fourth generation to be involved in his family’s scrap and recycling business located in southeastern Minnesota. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for the company and his many responsibilities include overseeing the company’s quality, environmental, health and safety management system as well as domestic and global non-ferrous and e-scrap sales. “I’m honored to be appointed a Deputy Majority Leader for the Minnesota Senate,” said Senator Miller. “I look forward to continuing to serve the people of southeastern Minnesota while helping to lead our entire state forward in a positive direction.”

“Additionally, I’m thrilled to be leading a new committee which will focus on issues so crucial to the well-being of Minnesotans,” said Senator Miller. “I’m anxious to begin committee work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle where the focus will be on innovative ideas to help strengthen Minnesota’s economy and create more opportunities for our talented workforce.”
