ED calls upon iron ore miners based on black money investigation

NEW DELHI (Scrap Monster): The officials declared to0 the media, these iron ore mining companies were referred to the ED, by the Special Investigation Team, focusing on the black money corruption in the country. Among the companies referred to the ED but the Special Investigation Team, there is a major iron ore miner based in Odisha, who has exported huge amount of iron ore in recent years.

The Vice Chairman of SIT of the black Money Force, and also the former Supreme Court Judge, Ajith Pasayat, had collected the production data on mineral extraction over the last ten years from the Minig Department of the government, and also with the information from the Income Tax, and Excise.

He also managed to get information from the Pradip Port, regarding the exports of iron ore. The ED sent notices total 16 miners last month in Goa gathering information regarding their share holding patterns, account details and also information from the period 2006-2012
