BEIJING (Scrap Monster): According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Asia recorded marginal rise of 0.6% during the month of November year-on-year.
The total crude steel production by China during November was 63.300 Million tonnes, dropping marginally by 0.2% when compared with the production of 63.427 Mt during November 2013. India produced 6.890 Million tonnes of crude steel, up 4.8% when compared to 6.575 Million tonnes production achieved during November 2013.
Japan reported marginal decline in monthly crude steel output during November. Japan's crude steel output dropped from 9.273 Million tonnes in November 2013 to 9.175 Million tonnes in the same month this year.
South Korean crude steel production was up considerably by 5.5% from 5.601 Million tonnes in November 2013 to5.911 Million tonnes in November this year.
The Taiwanese November steel output edged higher by 4.7% to 1.905 Million tonnes from 1.819 Million tonnes during same month last year.
