4th December, 2017: Chinese Scrap Market Remained Mixed, Copper Scrap Prices Surged

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices exhibited mixed trends on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 4^th, Monday. Scrap Steel prices held steady. Aluminum scrap prices registered marginal decline over the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and Bronze prices surged higher on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 600 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 600 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too was up by CNY 200 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw marginal jump of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. Cu Yokes prices reported slight uptick of CNY 100 per MT.

Cu/Al Radiator and Heater Cores prices reported jump by CNY 100 per MT and CNY 150 per MT respectively over the previous day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices increased by CNY 100 per MT on Monday, December 4^th.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged over the day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 100 per MT.

The price of Aluminum Radiators declined by CNY 50 per MT.

Aluminum Transformers remained unchanged on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT to touch CNY 14,350 per MT.

Old Cast prices too witnessed a down move of CNY 100 per MT on 4^th December, 2017.

The prices of Old Sheets declined by CNY 100 per MT.

UBC prices declined by CNY 50 per MT from the previous day levels.

Meantime, Zorba 90%INF prices witnessed no change.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 4^th December, 2017.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices climbed higher by CNY 50 per MT to CNY 4,950 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning witnessed a rise of CNY 100 per MT.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed increase of CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT over the day on December 4^th.

Shred SS prices increased by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 10,000 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal increase on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT to touch CNY 30,650 per MT on December 4^th, 2017.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT on Index.
