17th October, 2017: Chinese Copper Scrap Prices Declined Slightly on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 17^th, Tuesday. Steel, Aluminum, Brass and Bronze scrap prices held steady. Meantime, Copper scrap prices witnessed marginal decline over the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel scrap prices surged higher on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined marginally by CNY 100 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices remained unchanged at CNY 29,850 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery remained unchanged over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices remained flat over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices too held steady over the day. Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady.

Heater Cores prices held steady at CNY 28,350 per MT on Tuesday, October 17^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved at CNY 16,150 per MT.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 17^th October, 2017.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 17^th October, 2017.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices climbed higher by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 5,300 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning witnessed a rise of CNY 100 per MT.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed increase of CNY 150 per MT and CNY 250 per MT respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT over the day on October 17^th.

Shred SS prices increased by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 10,400 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady at CNY 31,350 per MT on October 17^th, 2017.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
