Superior Sanitation

Superior Sanitation Services Ltd has grown into a full-service waste management company from its beginning in 1964 with three garbage trucks.

Today, Superior has a fleet of approximately fifty (50) trucks consisting of front-end loaders, roll-offs, side-loaders and recycling trucks providing reliable, clean and efficient service to the more than 1800 customers and thousands of residents of the Island. 

Superior Sanitation has overcome many changes and challenges over the past forty (40) years. A new company headquarters was built in Charlottetown in 2001 which consists of a recycling facility, administration offices and maintenance garage. Transfer stations were built in Charlottetown in 2002 and Summerside in 2004. This tremendous growth has only been possible through the dedication of our approximately 120 employees. 

Superior is the major contractor to Island Waste Management Corporation for the collection of residential waste, compost and recyclables which are part the three stream waste diversion program know as " Waste Watch".
