Steelmet began as a small family owned and operated steel supply warehouse in 1980. It quickly grew into a large steel shop and began doing custom bending and drilling for our clients. In the late 1990s we added the decorative and furniture division, specializing in items with a metal theme. We strive to find the newest and most unique pieces available, carry a variety of one of a kind, hand made products from various artists  both local and from around the world. Today Steelmet is known for it's high quality furniture and decorative pieces along with unique jewelry.

In 2006 the Rick Leier family of Rely-ex Contracting Inc., a local contracting and construction company purchased Steelmet. In doing so, Steelmet has remained family owned and operated. Since then we have introduced many new and exciting lines, including Seaside Casual, our line of recycled plastic patio furniture. At Steelmet we strive to carry a wide range of unique and funky pieces from across Canada and around the world.

Steelmet is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce through our parent company, Rely-ex Contracting Inc. and a member of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise.

Being a family owned and operated business, we have a commitment to our community. We sponsor a variety of charities and organizations throughout the city and province. Some of our charity partners include; Children's Wish Foundation, Children's Hospital Foundation (both directly and indirectly through partner events), New Hope Dog Rescue, SCAT: Street Cat Rescue, various arts programs, Elmwood Lodge: Vipond Golf Classic, Saskatoon Diversity Network and the Saskatchewan Easter Seals Foundation. If you would like to request a donation or sponsorship, please submit your request in writing no less than one-month prior to your event or deadline.
