Alexander Lloyd Irwin started Sandy's Auto Parts business in Weyburn, Saskatchewan in 1938, then moved it to Victoria in 1945. His son Barrie joined the business and continued to run it until 2009, and it is now operated by A-L's grandson Wayne. Rob—A-L's great-grandson—purchased Sooke's Total Auto Recycling in 2022 to carry on the family tradition and offer local and far away customers quality fair priced auto parts, expanding the familys 80-year history.
