Experienced Recycling Company Serving the San Jose Area

When residents of San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas or neighboring communities want to recycle a broad range of materials or unload electronics or scrap metal, they turn to Ranch Town Recycling. We are a leading recycling company and buyback center that has helped countless California residents and businesses live sustainably, discard unwanted goods, and reduce their overall carbon footprint for nearly 20 years. Open seven days a week, we are a buyer of all metals, and we also hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Above all, we’re passionate about being green, and we specialize in making it easier for the surrounding community to live sustainably as well.

Our Buyback Center Also Serves Mountain View, Sunnyvale and the Surrounding Areas

In 1996, we started a business in what we knew best and purchased Ranch Town. We got into this business—collecting cans, glass, brass and other items through the buyback center. Our business is determined to provide excellent customer service & very competitive prices.
We work at helping the community to become proactive about being green, which is economically and environmentally smart. Our facility helps many residents, schools and businesses with their recycling needs, processing many different metals and materials.
Businesses often drop off their scrap metal and E-waste here. Educating the public about how our services are important to the community and the world we live in is important to us. When you come here we are not only your buyback center, but also your friend and ally in preserving the environment. We are dedicated to serving and helping everyone that comes to our center in a fast and efficient way. Conveniently located on Lincoln Avenue in San Jose, our recycling center offers a wide array of residential and commercial reprocessing services.

The Importance of Recycling E-Waste in San Jose

There are fewer drum beats steadier than the constant march of technology. As manufacturers continue to roll out newer and fancier versions of TVs, computers and other electronics, we all find ourselves at the point when it makes sense to upgrade, but what happens to our old devices when the replacements arrive? At Ranch Town Recycling Center, we provide a place to drop off your e-waste so it stays out of our precious San Jose landfill space.
If you were to look inside the case of your favorite electronic device, you’d find that the components are made up of precious metals such as copper, gold and aluminum. By recapturing these valuable substances, we diminish the need for virgin materials that have been freshly mined from the ground, and that helps to protect the environment.
It’s also worth noting that many of these devices contain hazardous chemicals, which is why it’s important that you participate in e-waste recycling instead of simply throwing them in the trash. While it may seem like trace amounts in one piece of equipment, if everybody simply treated these items like standard garbage, the cumulative pollutants would settle into the soil and eventually taint the water table.

Recycle Your Glass Bottles In and Around San Jose

Ranch Town Recycling has offered convenient and profitable CRVglass recycling for residents and businesses across San Jose, Santa Clara and Milpitas for nearly two decades. Glass bottle recycling can be done over and over again, and 90 percent of the recycled material is used to create new containers. Many manufacturers rely on crushed or ground glass to supplement raw materials. They combine it with limestone, sand and soda ash, and then mold the mixture into whatever shape is desired. This process allows for the reuse of limited resources and also requires less energy than traditional production that uses sand, soda and lime.

We Also Serve Mountain View, Sunnyvale and the Surrounding Areas

When you drop off your unwanted goods at Ranch Town, you’re eligible for CRV refunds. When your container is smaller than 24 ounces you’re eligible for a five-cent refund, and when it exceeds 24 ounces you’ll receive 10 cents for each.
When glass is broken down and crushed it’s called cullet, and it can be used to create a wide array of useful products. When you bring your beer, wine, liquor or soda bottles to Ranch Town, we separate them in terms of chemical composition and color, then wash them in an effort to remove any impurities. The material is then crushed, melted and molded, and then redistributed for future use. Because it doesn’t degrade during this process, it can be recycled time and time again.

Recycle Your Stainless Steel at Our Center in San Jose

Take a tour of homes for sale in San Jose, Santa Clara or Milpitas, and you’ll likely come across many stainless steel kitchen appliances and features. Commonly used in everything from automobiles to construction materials, this high-chromium content material appeals to consumers primarily because of its shiny, bright design.
Ranch Town Recycling is a California leader in stainless steelrecycling. Because its value is often higher than that of many common metals, it is generally well worth the time and effort it takes to salvage it and bring it in. Here’s a look at what types we currently take.

We Recycle Your E-Waste at Our San Jose Center

When residents of San Jose, Santa Clara and Milpitas have unwanted items on their hands, they’re increasingly turning to Ranch Town Recycling, an innovative leader in traditional and electronics recycling services. E-waste recycling, or the repurposing of unwanted appliances and electronic items for future reuse, is a sustainable practice that helps protect and preserve the environment and its resources. It’s also a great way to get rid of any electronic scrap materials you have taking up space in your home or business

We accept many kinds of radiators, but there are two main types to be aware of:

  • Brass - this type is mostly found in vehicles made before 1990. If you have a car or truck that happens to have this type, you will benefit from a higher buyback because the components are more valuable than those in current models. Before turning it in, make sure you remove any steel pieces or other foreign materials that are attached to it so that you get the highest price possible.
  • Aluminum - most newer-model vehicles will have this type of radiator, and it is easy to remove from the front of your automobile. Make sure you take off any steel attachments and the plastic reservoir tanks in order to receive the full value. Also drain any remaining coolant. Because they are not as valuable, keep them separate from the brass/copper types.
