About Us
We specialize in catalytic converter recycling. We also recycle wire and industrial grade converters.
Our Process :
Receiving :
Converters are video graded (counted), prepared for decanning. Ceramic substrate is sent directly for processing and assay.
Decanning, Crushing :
Platinum Recovery & Recycling uses its own, patented technology to decan catalytic converters, which allows maximum recovery. All ceramic substrate is crushed, milled and sampeld according to rigorous guidelines.
Assaying :
Assaying is the process of determining the concentration of precious metals contained in ceramic substrate. Both ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectometry) and XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis are used on substrait samples from each shipment to determine exact amounts of precious metal content.
