Peninsula Plastic Recycling is a full service PET plastic recycler and processor in California’s Central Valley. We are the only merchant processor of PET materials in the state of California.Through the vision of our sister companies, Merlin Plastics Alberta and Merlin Plastics Supply in British Columbia, and a grant from the California Department of Conservation, our 180,000 sq.ft. facility sits on 23 acres in Turlock, California services plastic processors throughout the western United States.

Peninsula Plastics Recycling utilizes specialty equipment to sort, grind, wash, pelletize, and SSP (for IV lift and for full FDA compliance) both California redemption material, as well as post industrial plastic recyclables.Peninsula Plastics Recycling is a 180,000 square foot recycling plant located in Turlock, California. We are the ONLY full service plastics recycler west of the Mississippi who specializes in the baling, sorting, grinding, washing, pelletizing and solid stating of recycle PET from the California CRV system. We offer recycling services and options for all plastics, including post industrial scrap.

What Do We Specialize In?

We at Peninsula Plastics Recycling specialize in processing redemption, curbside, and industrial scrap plastics into clean, ready-to-use recycled plastic in the form of Pellets or Flakes. These recycled products can be used in a number of applications including FDA grade for beverage bottles, bottles for home cleaning products, shampoo, hand soap,  sheet for thermoformed trays and clamshells, fiber for polyester carpet, fabric for T-shirts, upholstery and sweaters, fiberfill for sleeping bags, strapping, and many other consumer products!

State-of-the-Art Technology

Peninsula Plastics Recycling utilizes proprietary technology developed by its sister company, Merlin Plastics Alberta, to sort, whole bottle wash, and grind recycle PET materials. We produce FDA flake (Conditions of Use E-G) directly from our wash lines.

Peninsula Plastics Recycling also has the capability to melt-filter, pelletize, and crystallize recycled post-consumer PET flake for direct sale and reuse back into consumer packaging applications. Peninsula has a current annual production capacity of over 50 million pounds.

As the only full service PET plastics recycler west of the Mississippi, Peninsula Plastics Recycling satisfies a need in the industry for a consistent, high quality, cost effective RPET source. Our 180,000 square foot facility in the Central Valley, was chosen after many years of searching for the right location and facility features.
