Linder Industrial Machinery Company’s 62 year history began in 1953 when Scott Linder Sr. and James Cox opened offices in Lakeland, Florida. Growth and expansion span through the years were met with leadership that placed our customer’s and their needs at the forefront of the business. By 1975 Linder had become theexclusive distributor for Komatsu equipment in the state of Florida, excluding the panhandle.1989 - A merger was created between LINDER and H.F. Mason Equipment Company, a Florida equipment distributor founded in 1941. In 1996 SMS International Co. purchased Linder. In 2003, Linder acquired the Mitchell Distributing Company, and with it 10 locations in North and South Carolina. During the course of Linder’s history, manufacturers have repeatedly recognized the company for excellence, bestowing both the Chairman’s Award and the President’s World Class Award, among other citations. April 1, 2010 - John Coughlin became LINDER's President, succeedingJeff Cox after a 26 year tenure. John brought a unique blend of first-hand heavy equipment dealership experience, a broad industry knowledge and manufacturer’s perspective to LINDER. His positions with KOMATSU over 30 years complimented with a customer-centric focus has provided LINDER with vision to maintaining the success of the past and advancing to meet future needs.LINDER Industrial Machinery Company provides superior quality brands and products from leading industry manufacturers.
