About Us

Electronics Recycling 

As of January 1, 2011, Indiana State Law prohibits the disposal of electronics in trash bound for the landfill.  Recycle them with us!We are a small office and although we try to keep one person here, there are times when no one is available to assist you.

We do not accept CRT tubes removed from the TV, lamps, large appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, or stoves) We do not accept VHS tapes or cassette tapes for recycling. CD’s can be donated to our Creative Resources reuse center for craft purposes. VHS tapes can be taken to Plastic Recycling, Inc., 2015 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis (317-780-6100)

The District also accepts:

Cell Phones, Small Electronics, Printer Ink Cartridges, PDA”S, BlackBerry”s, SmartPhones, MP3”s, ipods, and ink/laser jet cartridges.  These items can be dropped off at the front office at 900 Arvin Road, Franklin, during regular business hours (8:30-11:00 a.m. and 1:30-4:00 p.m.).  
 (This cell phone and cartridge recycling service is provided by AJ”s recycling.  AJ’s supports persons with special needs and special Olympics of Johnson County.  You may contact them at 317-695-1047 for more information or to set up service at your school or business).
