The Friedrich Frank company was founded in 1948 as a company for the collection of scrap, "Hadern" (used textiles) and skins. In the post-war period, many a combat aircraft and military vehicles were scrapped by grandfather Friedrich Frank. He was also involved as a committee leader in the Styrian Chamber of Commerce. The Ring of Honor of the Republic of Austria was awarded to him for services in the resistance struggle.

In the meantime, the company was continued by Mrs. Margarethe Frank and taken over by the grandsons Allan and Friedrich Frank in 1996.

The company Frank Metall Recycling und Handels GmbH was founded in 2005, which oversees small and large projects such as the demolition of tank farms, railway bridges and factory facilities.
