Continental Paper Grading Company was established in 1919 in Chicago, Illinois. While we have remained an independent waste paper merchant for nearly a century of operation, our company has grown into a global business with a network of waste paper and pulp processing facilities, warehouses, and sales offices throughout North America. We proudly manage over 1.2 million tons of waste paper and secondary fiber yearly, and we buy and sell all grades of waste paper, post-industrial and post-consumer plastics, recyclable metals, and other products.

Continental Paper Grading of Canada

In 1985, Continental Paper Grading Company established its Canadian affiliate company, Continental Paper Grading of Canada, in Mississauga, Ontario, just outside of Toronto. At CPG of Canada, our experienced waste paper brokers serve the Canadian and Northeastern U.S. markets with comprehensive offerings and expertise.We also specialize in buying post-consumer plastics and recyclable metals from municipal recycling facilities and selling it worldwide. Our Canadian office is staffed with waste material professionals who understand all of the specific Customs requirements for importing and exporting secondary fiber and other post-consumer materials into Canada, into the U.S., and throughout the world.

Roll Cutting
At our paper processing plants in Chicago, IL and York, PA, we have specialized roll-cutting and shredding equipment which enables us to cut and bale all types of rollstock. We take in all types of rolls and process them into bales for shipment to consuming paper mills.

Logistics and Warehousing
At CPG, we are proud to operate a network of warehouses and distribution centers throughout the United States. Our logistics departments specialize in moving waste paper effectively for maximum value, ensuring the best possible prices. Additionally, our extensive waste paper warehousing capacity enables us to take on all of our vendors’ surplus inventory and hold it until ideal market conditions are present.

We are pleased to provide valuable financing opportunities for our vendors, and we have extensive experience in helping develop and fund new baling and material handling systems for them.
