American Fiber Services (AFS) is a marketing and purchasing service provider for the pulp and paper industry. We are a joint venture partner of Essity North America, where Essity North America maintains a fifty percent equity interest in AFS. Essity, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden is a $15 billion global hygiene and forest products company that produces personal care products, tissue, publication papers and solid-wood products, employing more than 37,000 people selling in over 100 countries. Essity owns 5 tissue mills in the US and owns or has interests in multiple paper mills in Latin America. While AFS is a preferred supplier to Essity, we also service the entire pulp and paper industry. We buy recyclables throughout the US and Canada and sell to mill clients in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. AFS also services Material Recovery Facilities and other industries and that generate non-paper recyclable materials. AFS operates sales offices in Appleton WI, Atlanta GA, Bristol RI, Candler NC, Iowa City IA, and Knoxville TN.
