Abbey Metal was founded in 1947 by the late Harry Zuckerman.  The Company moved to it’s present town in 1958.  We are now a third generation family managed business.

From the beginning Abbey Metal has specialized in the purchasing, sorting, processing and marketing of all forms of specialty scrap metals.  Abbey Metal processes a wide variety of metals such as Beryllium, Cobalt, Copper, Gold, Hafnium, Molybdenum, Nickel, Niobium (Columbium) Platinum, Palladium, Silver, Tantalum Titanium, Tin, Tungsten, Zinc, and Zirconium as well as their related alloys.

Today, the scrap that we process  is shipped to processors, mills, ingot makers and foundries that manufacture products which are utilized in the Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Food Processing, Nuclear, Power Generation and other industries.

Abbey Metal’s experienced staff and up-to-date equipment allows the company to effectively service the needs of our customers.  Material shipped in to our facility is sorted, analyzed and processed quickly and our customers are paid promptly, in accordance with agreed upon terms of purchase.  All our customers are treated fairly and honestly.  We believe that creating and maintaining a strong working relationship with our customers is essential and beneficial to all parties.
