27th January, 2020-North American Scrap Metal Prices Posted Heavy Decline on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 27^th, Monday. Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were down over the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap edged lower by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing  and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were down by $0.09 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too dropped by $0.09 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.03 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.02 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices tumbled by $0.09 per Lb from previous day’s level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap edged down by $0.02 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices saw marginal dip by $0.01 per Lb. Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported decline by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb each on January 27^th, 2020.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Romex Wire too were down by $0.02 per Lb during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units and Starters recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb each.

Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap were down by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions and 5052 Scrap were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

6061 Extrusions price declined by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Aluminum Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb each. Aluminum Transformer prices too dropped by $0.01 per Lb. Breakage 50% Recovery prices held steady on 27^th January, 2020.

Chrome Wheels dropped by $0.01 per Lb.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips dipped by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices were down by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding were down by $0.01 per Lb each.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 27^th January, 2020.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

 Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each.

304 SS Solid prices were down by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed decline by $0.02 per Lb on 27^th January, 2020.

309 SS scrap prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb.

316 SS Solid prices were down by $0.02 per Lb.

310 SS and 330 SS prices edged lower by $0.03 per Lb and $0.05 per Lb respectively from the prior day.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices dropped by $0.03 per Lb each on Monday, January 27^th, 2020.

Brass Radiator scrap were down by $0.02 per Lb.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices dropped marginally by $0.01 per Lb each.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too were down by $0.03 per Lb each.
