16th September, 2019: North American Scrap Metal Prices Recorded Notable Decline

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal decline on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 16th, 2019. Steel and Aluminum scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper, Brass and Bronze scrap prices registered marginal decline. Also, Stainless Steel scrap prices declined on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day.

The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.05 per Lb.

#2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.05 per Lb.

The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery recorded a decline of $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. 

#2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb.

#3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.05 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap edged lower by $0.01 per Lb.

Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged.

Cu Yokes prices reported no change over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained flat on September 16th, 2019.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices witnessed a decline of $0.01 per Lb each over the day.

Heater Cores prices were unchanged on Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day.

The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat on Index.

The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the prior day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady.

Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on September 16th, 2019.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were down marginally by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips held steady at previous day price levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held flat.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on September 16th, 2019.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

304 SS Solid prices remained unchanged over the day.

304 SS Turning prices were down by $0.01 per Lb on 16th September, 2019.

309 SS scrap prices saw a decline of $0.02 per Lb.

310 SS prices declined marginally by $0.03 per Lb each.

316 SS Solid and 330 SS prices were down by $0.02 per Lb each from the prior day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region registered decline on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb.

80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices too dropped by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

Brass Radiator, Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices held steady on September 16th, 2019.

Red Brass, Rod Borings and Yellow Brass prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
