Characteristics

Grip Strut®, also known as Safety Grating is a high strength lightweight galvanized steel grating designed for safety underfoot. Grip Strut Safety Grating is a one-piece, plank-type grating panel. Carbon safety grating, also known as Grip Strut, provides a very good load-bearing capacity in ratio to its weight and supports more load than carbon steel bar grating.  However, it is not designed for extremely heavy loads. Grip Strut® provides maximum slip resistance in wet and oily environments. The standard serrated diamond matrix walking surface grips shoe soles securely in all directions and complies with the anti-slip values set forth in Federal Specification RR-G-1602A. A single plate of steel forms both the non-slip open diamond matrix, serrated surface, and the load-supporting continuous channel at either side. Substances which threaten safe footing do not build up on the serrated surface matrix.

Applications

• It provides the best non-slip safety surface of any type grating. A versatile product, it can be used in most applications where safe footing is important.
• Grip strut is used for grating in equipment platforms, catwalks, truck bod­ies and trailers and stair treads.
• Grip Strut is ideally suited for all walking/working surfaces where mud, ice, snow, grease, and oil create slippery or hazardous conditions.
