Following the highly successful conference that was held in Amsterdam earlier this year, with in excess of 250 attendees, the MMTA is delighted to announce that the 2017 International Minor Metals Conference will be held at The Conrad Hotel, Dublin on April 24-26 2017.

A strong programme of speakers will as ever be the highlight of this event as well as incorporating plenty of networking time during the golf tournment, receptions, lunches and coffee breaks. There are also promotional and sponsorship opportunities available at the conference, which offer excellent value to reach 250+ of the leading global players in the minor metals industry. Speakers joining the programme:

The programme of speakers remains the focus of the MMTA’s conference and as ever it will highlight those metals that are playing a vital role in new technologies and that are at the forefront of advances in global development. In 2017 the conference will feature presentations looking at cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, rhenium, hafnium, zirconium, scandium, tantalum, tungsten, niobium, lithium, indium, bismuth, selenium, tellurium, gallium, germanium, antimony.

The MMTA’s Popular Science Talk: Laurence Knight, Producer, BBC World Service, and Andrea Sella, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry, University College London, will take a tour around some of the amazing minor metals elements that make up our industry. The BBC World Service has just completed its Elements programme, which took a close look at chemical elements, the basic building blocks of the universe. Where do we get them, what do we use them for and how do they fit into our economy?
