Phenolic Canvas Grade C is a canvas base and phenolic resin binder. Grade C canvas phenolics are made from a medium weave cotton cloth fabric and mixed with phenolic resins to provide good wear resistance, low moisture absorption, and good mechanical strength at economical cost.

Phenolic Rod is the same material as Phenolic sheet except that it has been turned and precision ground into rods of various grades, colors and diameters, all of which are readily machinable into finished parts.

This material is exceptionally versatile because of their unusual combination of properties. It is a hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin. These layers of laminations are usually of cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure thermosetting industrial laminated plastic.

Phenolic CE or Electrical Grade Canvas Phenolic is used for electrical insulation applications that require a stable structural support.  Canvas Grade CE phenolic is similar to the "C" grade phenolic only the CE grade is for electrical uses. Phenolic CE adheres to Mil-I-24768/14 Type FBG and is a widely used thermoset plastic in the electrical industry.

Phenolic Grade LE is an electrical grade phenolic well suited for fine detailed machined parts for electrical applications. The Linen Grade Phenolic LE is a very popular grade for tight tolerance parts that have excellent electrical insulation properties.  Phenolic LE standard meets Mil-I-24768/13 Type FBE.

Phenolic G10 is a light green, continuous filament woven glass fabric grade, impregnated with epoxy resin. Has excellent electrical values, possesses low moisture absorption, low dissipation factor, excellent electrical characteristics over a wide range of humidities and temperatures. It will withstand up to 284°F. Moisture absoprtion rate is .15% and can be fabricated to tight tolerances for medical and aerospace production parts.

GRADE XX - Copper color, paper base phenolic laminate with good mechanical properties, high dielectrical strength and good resistance to moisture. Max. temp. 266° F.

Scientific, military & government specifications, medical, laboratory, industrial, construction or commercial uses. Phenolic materials are also known as Micarta and Garolite and can be used for structural supports, bus bars, mechanical insulation, gears, test fixtures, washers, spacers and tight tolerance machined parts for electro-mechanical assemblies. Some of phenolic material uses are:Terminal boards, Switches, Bearings, Gears, Wear strips, Gaskets, Washers, Transformers, Machining components, Industrial laminates.

Phenolic and epoxy laminates are a hard dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper, fabric, or glass fiber with a phenolic or epoxy resin. GRADE XX - Copper color, paper base phenolic laminate with good mechanical properties, high dielectrical strength and good resistance to moisture. Max. temp. 266° F. GRADE CE - Brown color, canvas base phenolic laminate having high impact strength for mechanical applications. Max. temp. 257° F. GRADE LE - Brown color, fine weave cotton fabric base, phenolic laminate. Low moisture, pick-up. Can be machined to very close tolerances. Good mechanical properties combined with excellent electrical properties. Max. temp. 257° F. GRADE G-10 - Light green color, continuous woven glass fabric laminated with an epoxy resin. Extremely high in mechanical strength, low water absorption and superior electrical characteristics. Max. temp. 284° F.
